The Tar Heel Junior Historians

A new ongoing program of the Heritage Museum is The Tar Heel Junior Historian club. Students visit & further their school studies of history. Pictured below is the Junior Historians listening to Judge David Fox speak about The American Civil War. Judge Fox has allowed the use of a large number of Civil War and U.S. war and conflict pieces from his own collection for exhibits of the museum.

HCHM Lego Display

Greeting our young visitors in the Lobby are two Lego displays by Don & Phoebe Blackwell. The Christmas Train display and Helicarrier displays encourage children to examine & explore our exhibits from the very start of the museum. The Blackwells enjoy building Legos with their grandchildren and use many pieces that were enjoyed by their own children.
